Library

The college has a well furnished library established mainly for the Physiotherapy students. It has over books, journals (bound, Indian and foreign journal subscriptions) general reading magazines and news paper for the use of students and staff. Students can also avail the internet facilities with permission for extensive earning. The library functions nearly 8 hours daily under the guidance of professionally librarians. The students are encouraged to make full use of the resources and abide by the rules and regulations of the library. The faculty ensures to foster reading habits among the students. The regular use of the library helps the students to widen the horizon of their knowledge and also be in touch with current information and development.

The institution library comprises more than 5000 books and subscribed for 25 Indian journals and 15 foreign journals. The library is updated periodically with latest text books and journals. Digital library facility is also available.

Digital Library

Our Digital Library contains collection text material, visual material, audio material, video material, stored as electronic media formats (as opposed to print, microform, or other media), along with means for organizing, storing, and retrieving the files and media contained in the library collection.

Digital libraries can vary immensely in size and scope, and can be maintained by individuals, organizations, or affiliated with established physical library buildings or institutions, or with academic institutions. The electronic content may be stored locally, or accessed remotely via computer networks. An electronic library is a type of information retrieval system.

Library Timings:

The Library currently kept open on all the working days, except the government holidays. Monday to Saturday: 9.30 AM to 5.30 PM Timings of Circulation Counter: Monday to Saturday: 9.30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Circulation section:

Registration for membership, issue of books, return of books and issue of due date’s particulars are being carried out in this section.

Reference section:

The section holds encyclopedias, dictionaries and gazettes, competitive examination books, and previous year’s model question papers, etc. Readers need to access their resources from the reference collection. Reference books are not for lending. They can be used inside the library and if needed can be photocopied.

Newspaper reading:

Opposite to the circulation counter is located the newspaper reading place. a notice board and a display are provided to paper cutting Xerox and all the current information will display the day to day current information in the notice board.

Theses section:

Theses and mini project pertaining to BPT program of our library are available for reference. More than 350 theses and mini project are available in our library.

Back volumes:

We are major printing of academic journals and specialize in the supply of print journals, back volumes and back issues of print journals and serials. Journals offer a comprehensive collection of all available back volumes and back issues. The valuable Back Volumes are exclusively for the scholars, staff and visitors for their research work.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Strict silence should be maintained inside the library.
  • Students should enter their names in the entry register, maintained at reference reading hall.
  • No bags, files, umbrellas can be brought in to the library.
  • The library is not responsible for the patron’s personal property.
  •  Computers are to be used for research purposes and any viewing of pornographic material is forbidden.
  • Reference materials can only viewed inside library.(not for circulation)
  • Group discussions are not permitted inside the library.
  • Books should not be replaced on the shelves & need to be left on the table for re-shelving.
  • Walk to the library, don’t run.
  • Treat the books and other material with care, inside the library.
  • Students can issue 2 library books on 2 library card for a week.
  • Return books on time.
  • Loss of library card/borrow cards should be reported to the librarian immediately.
  •  Issue of duplicate library card as well as borrow cards will be made against due charges.
  • A fine of Rs 5/- day will be charged on late return of books issued on library card/borrow cards.
  • Students can avail the facility of reference books, journals, periodicals within the library premises only against library card.
  • Writing of scribbling on or tearing of pages of library books, newspapers, periodicals etc. is prohibited & will be liable for strict action.
  • On loss of library book, user shall replace the same with a brand new copy or to pay the amount decided by library committee.
  •  Library property should not be vandalized.
  • Difficulties if any should be discussed with the librarian.
